Why Are People so Stupid?

Recently in one of our coffee shop think tank meetings we found ourselves engaged in a conversation about humans and mental capacity? Someone said; "Why do you suppose people are so damn stupid?" Well, we were a little taken aback and not that we had not had the same thought ourselves in observing people, but that they blurted it out rather matter of factly?

Then the funniest thing happened next someone blurted out; "why do you suppose that it took you so long to figure that out?" Touche, I thought and then before I could make a comment to keep from a personal attack or words of war to break out. The person asking the question, attempted to answer the question, which was asked of him? In his answer to the question why did it take you so long to figure that out, he merely said; "I am stupid I guess?"

Interesting comment indeed, in fact he went on to reason that at least he joined a think tank to better himself and think about things. You see folks if you do not bother to exercise your mind, which is like a muscle then you may never know what you are missing or even what you are capable of. Think on that and we did.
