Programming personality into an artificially intelligent robotic assistant for the home or office does make a lot of sense because you will be spending much time with this computerized marvel in technology in the future. Obviously, you are going to want a robot or artificially intelligent android to be pleasant and to get along with you, but in order to do this it will be necessary to program the level of interaction and type of personality you prefer. However, other people in your family or at the office may not like the personality you choose and in the beginning these artificially intelligent robotic assistance and androids will be very costly so it will be wise to have adjustable personalities. Consider if you will and introvert-extrovert on/off switch; this indeed, maybe one good way to handle this. Perhaps someone in your family might like a sassy robot others may not like a robot that talks back and gives them a hard time. Some people may not like to work with a robot at all and we should to be as introverted as possible. All these are things to think about as we design the future of artificially intelligent android robotics. Please consider all this in 2006. |
